Fragments from Elsewhere
Echoes of distant lands resonate through my images of nature and urban landscapes. Fragments from Elsewhere is an ongoing photo series that captures small, quiet details — ordinary objects and spaces that feel familiar, yet reveal no clear sense of place. Each image is a fragment, visually recognizable but detached from any specific geography or context, evoking locations that could be anywhere, or nowhere at all. Taken along my journeys abroad, these visual notes form a mosaic of singular moments and overlooked things, reflecting both the universality of the everyday and the personal act of collecting the unfamiliar.
My travel narratives and photographic work have been published in Traveller and Go Reisiajakiri magazines, as well as in other publications, blending personal storytelling with visual documentation.
Works from this series are available at the Juhan Kuus Documentary Photography Centre and can also be commissioned directly from me in a preferred format.
